It helps to be pre-approved for a loan before looking for a property

Before you choose a property or make an offer to purchase, it helps to find a lender and get started on the loan process.  Ask you agent for recommendations of reliable lenders.  After meeting with the lender, you will have a good idea of the right price range and payments for your purchase. While you lender is working on your loan, you and your agent can start property hunting.  When you find the right property, a lender's pre-qualification letter can give you an edge on the competition.
